A nagging question at the back (well actually...in the front) of my mind is...what is your FATHER'S take on all this? Why did he choose a racist woman for a wife?

I can't imagine that has gone over very well with HIS side of the family.

I'd like to hear more from that side. And at some point I hope you will feel comfortable asking your mom those challenging questions .
