Hey, hey HEY! Wouldn't it be great if the two of them fight so viciously that all the demons driving them both will rise up out of their barely held confinement and verbally (if not physically) beat the cr*p out of each other AND their declared enemies' support folks?

Admittedly, McConnell is better at planning, as mentioned, but given the way this seems to be heading I have a sneaking suspicion McConnell won't be able to hang on to his "fake reasonable" persona and all the snakes will come slithering out of their mouths, and the smart people (yes, we still have a few) will move into the vacuum left by them, creating a more rational and less terrifying set of leaders who will guide us away from the snakes into a semblance of safety.

I don't know. Probably I'm fantasizing here. But don't knock it. It's better than letting their demons take you down.
