I am also ADHD, a different “disorder” of information processing.
I call it AEG. Attention Excess Gift, because we are interested in every blooming buzzing thing in the world, so we end up knowing a lot of stuff about a lot of what looks like “different” stuff but we are able to see the connections among them “ordinary” folk can’t see because they are too bound up in rigid categories and linear thinking.

I also don’t see how being extra sensitive is a “disorder” no matter what the DSM-V says. It is a GIFT instead. It’s only a “disorder” in modern life, which is always big and loud. Same as ADHD is only a “disorder” in modern life because we don’t fit into the world’s expectations as to how we should encounter and use information.
