I'm an "old lady" -- coming up soon on 74, and about 10 years ago I decided to give up entirely on makeup and to wear only my most comfortable clothing. I'm not really interested in trying to attract men anyway, and being retired, I don't have to look like a "proper working woman."

I've been rather shocked at how many men still try to "pick me up," so to speak. One of them, believe it or not, was a man who in the 60s was a very popular writer/composer of "teenie bopper" music in the 60s, Wrote a whole lot of songs that pretty much everyone my age or even a bit younger would recognize immediately. Long story about how we encountered one another & out of respect I'm not going to drop his name. It took a friend of mine telling me that he was seriously flirting with me. "Really? Naw. You're joking. Really?"

I'm not only "old" I am rather heavy, tho the curves are in all the right places.

It didn't work out, and quite frankly I wasn't all that interested. Just intrigued over having someone from that background interested in me.

Women spend far too much time and money on trying to attract men...
