Instant thought upon reading this -- Imagine a Medium publication devoted exclusively to highlighting work authors published on Medium, say, a year ago or more, that didn't get the attention they should have received when first published, particularly if they were not connected to one of the older, more established magazines.

In particular, I'd like to see a publication highlight articles from authors that Medium has not seen fit to "curate" (or whatever it is called now), as they were too far outside the standard, SEO-jammed articles to even catch the attention of said "curators," much less get highlighted. Indeed, I say -- with rather a bit of a chuckle -- top qualifiers could be that there are NO SEO words! Tho of course that shouldn't be an exclusive qualifier, just enough of one to poke SEO-perfectionists in the eye.

Many of us choose specific words because they are the best words to use to communicate what we intend, and SEO be damned! If that condemns us to obscurity on Medium, so be it.

But we don't have to be obscure if we have publications that take that same attitude and do real promotions beyond Medium itself rather than relying on automated analytics to decide what people want to read and/or what would benefit readers the most.
