Maybe. But Quora does a better job of monitoring what people post. Plus readers monitor it as well, pointing out pieces that are clearly solely clickbait. I've reported quite a few myself--always with appropriate removals.

For the people on Medium who have said they like personal writing best (something that Medium seems to balk at, at least as I see it--personal writing doesn't get curated quite so much as the very types of articles you criticize).

If I'd been able to make $$ on my writing for Quora, I'd be getting more than double my Social Security. We shall see.
