Reality check: Tucker Carlson is not the only member of the Radical Right Wing White Supremacist Party (formerly known as Republican) who is doing this.

That is SOP for every right wing argument under the sun. And it's taken a lot time for people to figure out that is what's happening. They take statements like "Guns don't kill people. People kill people."

Leaving out the logical inference from that...it's true, guns don't kill people. PEOPLE WITH GUNS KILL PEOPLE. Take every single repeated phrase they use to it's logical next step, and that step blows their argument out of the water.

Take the good guys with guns vs bad guys with guns. REALITY CHECK: we had dozens of supposedly "good guys with guns" standing around twiddling their thumbs while 19 children and two adults were slaughtered with a gun that should have been banned completely. He might have been able to get other guns or other weapons, but not with the firepower of the AR 15 and similar.

And why did those officers just stand around? This is just an educated guess but I'll bet everything I own that THAT they were truly afraid of getting killed. That will come out as the investigations go on.

That and at least some of them not wanting to risk their lives for a school full of Latino /a kids.
