Well, there's the funny, ironic stuff. ha ha hee hee.

Then there's the stuff where someone blurts out an unexpurgated rant that is so obviously racist to anyone who has any sort of understanding of what that word means.

I responded to jiust such an article & a few of the responses that, in most of the commenters' eyes, were seriously racist in assumptions.

So, I wanna know what you think we should do with sometehing like that? Just not read it, totally ignore it? So its ideas can fester, grow, infect...AND KILL?

There are some ideas that need to be forcefully and continuously challendged. Every. Single. Day.

It's not about "hating" the article. It's about the ideas expressed being horrible, unutterably WRONG. Not PERSONAL assessment. AN assessment based on logic and evidence.

Without resistance to very bad ideas our society becomes a place for being proud of IGNORANCE.
