You don't have to acknowledge everything. If you don't respond to something we posted, there are a few likely reasons: 1) you just don't have the time; 2) we put you in a difficult situation & you don't have the time to deal with that right now; 3) we overstepped boundaries; 4) endless other options, yada yada...

You don't need to take care of your readers. Of course you don't want to be an a*s, because you're the kind of person who truly cares about others (unlike a whole lot of other people we encounter on social media). But we are adults (or pretending to be). It's our job to take care of ourselves.

Besides, if we expected you to respond to everything we posted, then we'd have to apply that rule to ourselves. Well, that is, if we are decent, thoughtful human beings. And if we are not DTHB's, we don't deserve a single minute of your time.
